Wondering how it all works? These Frequently asked questions might help!
What is Loud Shirt Day?
Loud Shirt Day is a global campaign held annually in October, dedicated to raising awareness and vital funds to ensure children with hearing loss continue to receive crucial intervention to help meet their goals.
How does Loud Shirt Day work?
Loud Shirt Day encourages members of the community to get LOUD and showcase their support by dressing in their best (or worst!) LOUD shirt and raising much needed funds for children with hearing loss. It is easy to get involved, all you need to start is a WACKY shirt and to register online.
Once registered start making noise by inviting your friends, family, workmates, community group, dogs, cats, basically anyone you know to join in the fun and get LOUD by donating or joining in on the LOUD celebration!
Why do I have to register online?
We encourage everyone to register online to join our online community with other LOUD fundraisers to share tips and tricks to get LOUD!
Did you know that in 2020 Loud Shirt Day supporters who actively fundraised online raised a staggering three times more than those who didn’t?
When is Loud Shirt Day?
National Loud Shirt Day is on Friday 21st October 2022.
Do I have to host my LOUD event on Friday 21 October?
You can get LOUD on any day that suits you right up until the end of December 2022.
When will I receive my LOUD fundraising pack?
You can find everything you need on our resource page to make your Loud Shirt Day a roaring success. Simply click and download the resources you wish to use.
What if I need more information or help with my LOUD fundraising?
If you need help or more information or just want to share your LOUD story, please contact your local Loud Shirt Day team.
How do I ask people to donate to my Loud Shirt Day fundraising page?
The most effective way to get people to donate to your page is by asking them.
Share your fundraising page with all your friends and family via Facebook, Instagram, or email. It’s always amazing to see your family and friends support you in a cause you’re passionate about. Share your ‘why’ for participating and upload a pic of you getting LOUD to really connect and encourage their support. The about section on your page is a great place to share why you’re getting LOUD. You could even make a short video of your ‘why’ to share and make it even more personal.
What do I do with the money I have raised?
With the current restrictions in Victoria, we are limiting all face-to-face contact. We’re asking people to share their fundraising link to their support network so people can donate directly to your link. If you do receive cash while fundraising, please pay the cash in at a bank and transfer the money to your fundraising page.
Not registered, and not holding an event?

What impact will my fundraising have?
All money raised for Loud Shirt Day, will go towards providing children with hearing loss with the best quality and innovative services so they can achieve their fullest potential.
This Loud Shirt Day we’re aiming to raise $70,000 to ensure children with hearing loss continue to receive crucial intervention to help meet their goals.
