What is LOUD Shirt Day?

Loud Shirt Day is a day devoted to highlighting not only the challenges these incredible kids face, but also their boundless strength and resilience. It’s a fun day to come together as a community, don our brightest and most eye-catching shirts and raise awareness about children with hearing loss. It’s also about raising crucial funds for organisations across Australia supporting children with hearing loss, like NextSense. 

NextSense is a not-for-profit organisation supporting people who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind or have low vision across Australia. Donate today to support children just like Addison!

We love the team at NextSense!

By sharing Addison’s story we want to raise awareness for children with hearing loss and the importance of early intervention. We want to giveback to NextSense for the ongoing support and language development they have provided and continue to provide Addi with over the last 3 years.

Finding out our child had a hearing loss was very overwhelming for us. We were first time parents which is a challenge in itself. We were learning to care for this little being and learning about hearing loss, which wasn’t something we were familiar with, there was no family history so we hadn’t really dealt with hearing loss in the past. We had no idea of where this journey would take us or of the services that were available. We are grateful to have been teamed up with the services at NextSense and love watching Addison learn and have fun with each interaction at speech therapy or learning new rhymes in mother goose group. We truly feel that having access to NextSense from early on has made an impact on Addison’s spoken language and continued to help her flourish and give us the tools to encourage her to do so. We love the team we are connected with!

We are fundraising to raise awareness and vital funds for children with hearing loss, like Addi! Addison was diagnosed with hearing loss when she was born and was fitted with her first set of hearing aids at 3 months old. Please help us get LOUD by donating to our page.
